How it began
I regularly heard complaints from staff staying in PGs about food quality and maintenance. At the same time, some PGs were very good, but hardly anyone knew about them. I wanted to make those places visible and help them get good bookings. As we explored the idea, we also saw an opportunity to build a local community platform, starting with PGs and growing from there.
— Veera SanakaThe problem
Choosing a PG is a decision about daily life, including food and maintenance. My staff regularly shared frustrating experiences, while some good PGs struggled to get noticed. Finding somewhere suitable is harder when residents do not know which places to consider or what is actually available.
What it does
OnlyPGs makes the room and individual bed the focus. People can search by locality, budget, and preferences, compare prices on a map, and see when owners last confirmed availability. The booking flow lets them select and reserve a bed.

Why I’m building it
The aim is to make good PGs more visible, help them attract bookings, and give residents a clearer starting point when choosing where to live.
The longer-term ambition is to build a local community platform, with PG living as the starting point. Discovery and booking are the first step towards a broader connection between people and the places where they live.
